Top Summer Seafood Recipe: Crab Salad

As summer is in full swing, we wanted to share a widely popular summer seafood recipe with y’all. As many of you know, our most popular item at Captain Benjamin’s is undoubtedly our crab legs. In honor of them, the recipe we chose was a simple yet delicious crab meat salad.

This recipe takes a total of 35 minutes to put together and makes four 3-ounce servings. It is a major summer hit amongst seafood lovers.  The full recipe can be found here: https://www.thespruceeats.com/simple-crab-salad-3054377.

The crab salad recipe calls for four Dungeness crabs or twelve blue crabs, two quarts of white vinegar, two quarts of water, ½ cup of old bay seasoning, one cup of diced celery, ¼ cup of chopped red or green bell peppers, one teaspoon of salt, ¼ teaspoon of pepper, one tablespoon of lemon juice, three tablespoons of mayonnaise, and eight cups of salad greens.

In addition to the above ingredients, the crab salad is delicious when served with avocado wedges.

Follow the link above for the step by step directions. We followed this recipe to the tee and found it to be absolutely delicious. If you decide to make it (which we strongly encourage!), please let us know how it turns out!
